The Roar of the Crowd and the Silence of the Shower

The adrenaline was still humming through Pedri’s veins, a low-frequency vibration that made his skin feel too tight for his muscles. The Camp Nou was still echoing in his ears, a phantom roar of ninety thousand voices chanting his name, but the locker room was beginning to empty out. Most of the squad had already headed to the recovery tubs or out to their cars, leaving the air thick with the scent of expensive cologne, grass, and sweat.

Pedri stood by his locker, peeling the damp jersey over his head. His body was lean and defined, the result of months of grueling strength training that had turned his once-slight frame into something more formidable. He caught his reflection in the small mirror—short hair ruffled, brown eyes dark with lingering competitive fire.

"You’re staring at yourself again, Pedri. If you get any cockier, we’re going to need a bigger stadium just for your ego."

Pedri didn't need to turn around to know who it was. Ferran Torres was leaning against the row of lockers opposite him. Ferran was a few inches taller, his frame broader, looking every bit the 'Shark' the fans called him. His long hair was slicked back, though a few stray strands had escaped during the match, framing his face and those deceptively innocent brown puppy eyes.

Pedri smirked, tossing his jersey into the laundry bin. "Hard not to stare when I just put in a masterclass, Ferran. Did you see that assist? I practically put the ball on a silver platter for you."

Ferran let out a low, melodic chuckle, stepping closer. The space between them narrowed, the humid air of the dressing room suddenly feeling much warmer. "You did okay. But we both know who finished the job. You’re all flash, little bird. You need someone like me to make it count."

"Is that what you tell yourself?" Pedri challenged, his shyness momentarily buried under a layer of bravado. He stepped into Ferran’s personal space, looking up just enough to meet those teasing eyes. "That I’m just the setup man?"

Ferran’s gaze dropped, roaming over Pedri’s worked-out chest and the line of his v-taper disappearing into his shorts. He reached out, his thumb catching the edge of Pedri’s jawline, tilting his head up.

"I think," Ferran whispered, his voice dropping an octave, "that you like being the one who dictates the play. You like having everyone’s eyes on you, waiting to see what you’ll do next. But here? In the dark? You don’t have to be the golden boy."

Pedri felt a shiver that had nothing to do with the air conditioning. He swatted Ferran’s hand away, though his heart was hammering against his ribs. "Shut up. Go take a shower, you smell like a midfield scrap."

"Make me," Ferran teased, a wicked glint in his eyes. He turned on his heel and headed toward the shower block, knowing full well that Pedri would follow.

The showers were a labyrinth of white tile and steam. By the time Pedri walked in, the mist was so thick he could barely see the far wall. The sound of hissing water filled the space, creating a private sanctuary away from the world. He found Ferran under the furthest shower head, the water slicking back his hair and running down the hard planes of his back.

Pedri didn't hesitate. He stripped off his remaining gear and stepped under the stream next to Ferran. The hot water hit his sore muscles, a welcome relief, but his focus remained entirely on the man beside him.

Ferran turned, the water cascading over his face. He looked Pedri up and down, his gaze predatory and appreciative. "Took you long enough. Were you busy practicing your post-match interview in the mirror?"

Pedri stepped forward, closing the gap until their chests were almost touching. The cockiness returned, fueled by the intimacy of the moment. "I was deciding if you were worth the effort tonight. You missed that sitter in the twentieth minute. My grandmother could have scored that."

Ferran laughed, a sharp, breathless sound. He lunged forward, grabbing Pedri by the waist and slamming him gently but firmly against the tiled wall. The impact sent a spray of water flying.

"Is that so?" Ferran growled, his hands gripping Pedri’s hips with possessive force. "You think you can talk to me like that because you had a few good touches? You’re so loud when the cameras are on, Pedri. Let's see how loud you are when I've got you pinned."

Pedri’s breath hitched. The shy side of him, the boy from Tegueste who still got flustered by too much praise, flickered for a second. But then he looked at Ferran—at the hunger in those puppy eyes—and he leaned in, his lips brushing against Ferran’s ear.

"You talk a lot for a guy who’s currently doing nothing," Pedri whispered, his voice dripping with provocation. "Show me, Ferran. Show me why they call you the Shark."

Ferran didn't need further invitation. He crashed his lips against Pedri’s, the kiss tasting of salt and heat. It wasn't a gentle greeting; it was a reclamation. Pedri groaned into the kiss, his hands finding purchase in Ferran’s wet, slicked-back hair, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them.

Ferran’s hands wandered, exploring the hard-earned muscle of Pedri’s thighs and back. "You’ve been working out," Ferran murmured against his skin, moving his kisses down to Pedri’s throat. "I can feel it. All that power... all for me."

"Don't get ahead of yourself," Pedri gasped, his head falling back against the tiles as Ferran found a sensitive spot on his neck. "You're just... the only one here."

"Liar," Ferran teased, biting down softly on the junction of Pedri’s shoulder. "You’ve been looking at me like this since the warm-ups. I saw you watching me stretch. You want to be handled, don't you? You want to stop thinking for once and just feel."

Pedri’s hands tightened in Ferran’s hair. "Just shut up and use those hands for something other than gesturing at the ref."

Ferran chuckled, his chest vibrating against Pedri’s. He slid one hand down, his fingers slick with soap and water, finding the center of Pedri’s heat. Pedri let out a choked sound, his knees buckling slightly, but Ferran held him steady.

"Look at me," Ferran commanded.

Pedri opened his eyes, his vision blurred by the steam and the intensity of the sensation. Ferran was watching him with an expression that was half-devotion, half-dominance.

"You’re the best in the world on that pitch," Ferran whispered, his thumb stroking rhythmically, "but in here, you’re mine. Tell me you’re mine."

The cockiness was gone now, replaced by a raw, naked honesty that only Ferran ever saw. Pedri reached up, cupping Ferran’s face, his thumb tracing the line of his jaw.

"I'm yours," Pedri admitted, his voice trembling. "God, Ferran, please."

The teasing stopped. Ferran’s expression softened for a fraction of a second before the intensity returned twofold. He hoisted Pedri up, the younger man’s legs instinctively wrapping around Ferran’s waist. The friction of their wet skin, the heat of the water, and the heavy thud of their hearts created a symphony of their own.

"I've got you," Ferran promised, his voice thick with a sudden, overwhelming protectiveness. "I've always got you."

They moved together in the spray, a frantic, beautiful mess of limbs and breath. Every touch was amplified by the echo of the shower, every moan lost to the hiss of the water. Ferran was relentless, driving Pedri to the edge with a calculated precision that mirrored his play on the wing. He knew exactly where to touch, exactly how much pressure to apply to make Pedri lose his mind.

Pedri clung to him, his fingers digging into Ferran’s shoulders. He felt every inch of Ferran’s worked-out body against his own, the strength and the heat of him. As the tension coiled tighter and tighter in his gut, Pedri buried his face in Ferran’s neck, his breath coming in ragged hitches.

"Ferran... Ferran, now!"

Ferran didn't hold back. He increased the pace, his movements powerful and sure. He watched Pedri’s face as the boy broke, watched the way his eyes rolled back and his body arched in a silent scream of pleasure. Only then did Ferran allow himself to follow, his own release hitting him like a tidal wave, grounding him in the reality of the tiled floor and the man in his arms.

Minutes passed, marked only by the sound of the water and their slowing breaths. Ferran didn't let him go. He kept Pedri pinned against the wall, his forehead resting against Pedri’s, their chests heaving in unison.

Slowly, Pedri’s eyes fluttered open. The cocky playmaker was nowhere to be found; there was only a flushed, exhausted young man who looked entirely undone.

"You okay?" Ferran asked softly, his voice devoid of its earlier teasing edge. He reached up to wipe a stray droplet of water from Pedri’s eyelash.

Pedri nodded, a small, tired smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Yeah. I think... I think you might have actually earned that assist now."

Ferran barked a laugh, the sound echoing off the tiles. He leaned in, kissing Pedri’s forehead before letting him slide back down to his feet. "Always the critic. Come on, let's get out of here before the kit manager comes in and finds us."

As they dried off and dressed in the cooling air of the locker room, the familiar banter returned, though it was softer now, laced with an intimacy that hadn't been there before the match.

"You know," Ferran said, pulling on a clean hoodie and shaking his damp hair out. "The press is going to ask why we were the last ones out of the stadium."

Pedri smirked, checking his phone as he headed toward the exit. He looked back at Ferran, his brown eyes sparking with that signature blend of shyness and bravado.

"Tell them we were discussing tactics," Pedri said, opening the door. "Tell them we were working on our chemistry."

Ferran grinned, following him out into the night. "Oh, I think our chemistry is just fine, Pedri. Just fine."
